Designer/ Sportswear/Brand Collaborations; Rihanna for River Island

"I literally designed everything I wanted to wear, exactly how I wanted to wear it,"- Rihanna (http://fashion.telegraph.co.uk/columns/bibby-sowray/TMG10237261/Rihanna-unveils-latest-River-Island-collection.html)

The Rihanna for River Island collection was launched in the Autumn of 2013, inspired by her own style. She wanted a sporty feel with the 'G4LIFE' motif being a running theme there is also a lot of camouflage print, tartan and stripes. She wanted an urban style that was sexy but everyone could wear and feel comfortable as it was just the perfect mix of sexy and conservative.

The tennis range (above) is Stella's favourite as she describes it as being a bit 'saucy'. It includes short dresses with cut-out floral detail, short skirts and cropped trousers with popper detailing. Designer/sportswear/brand collaborations; Jeremy Scott x Adidas

Jeremy Scott worked with Adidas in the month of June 2008 He created a collection featuring clothing and footwear inspired by his quirky style. His collection went down well with hip hop stars and everyday consumers. He also worked with them in 2002 for the '!Signed' project which he created a pair of shoes on Adidas's classic high top which was a of a very limited quantity with Both Scott and Adidas only getting 50 pairs each.

You can see he has used totem poles, aliens basketball tops with uneven hems, over sized tops and chains to create unique silhouettes and structures.

A lot of his designers are very sportswear like hes adapted to this by creating his quirky prints and changes some structures to make it more him and more fashionable. He always uses the classic high top style on all his models. He also designed them all himself that he uses for his collection.
