Designer/Sportswear/Brand Collaboration; Topshop x Adidas

Topshop collaborated with Adidas to make a feminine sportswear range they chose to keep it to sportswear silhouettes and styles rather than just inspired by sportswear they wanted that sportswear ascetic so they really focused on doing strong urban style but feminine prints. The feel they really got their stamp on the print world and because so much fashion is inspired by sportswear nowadays they really feel as if this is their first foot in the door for sportswear and they couldn't have done that with anyone better than Adidas Originals.

'Reimagining adidas
for the Topshop girl, the capsule updates iconic staples with slim silhouettes, and a bold, '80s hip-hop inspired color scheme: think the essential SUPERSTAR jacket with a cream perforated leather construction, and SUPERSTAR shoes with a clear sole and a metallic cracked leather shell toe. “Our capsule with Topshop is the perfect partnership, as it allows us to explore a contemporary fashion aesthetic while paying homage to our iconic sportswear roots,” added Josefine Aberg, Design Director of adidas Originals.' - http://www.nylon.com/articles/topshop-x-adidas-originals-capsule

Designer/sportswear/brand collaborations; Jeremy Scott x Adidas

Jeremy Scott worked with Adidas in the month of June 2008 He created a collection featuring clothing and footwear inspired by his quirky style. His collection went down well with hip hop stars and everyday consumers. He also worked with them in 2002 for the '!Signed' project which he created a pair of shoes on Adidas's classic high top which was a of a very limited quantity with Both Scott and Adidas only getting 50 pairs each.

You can see he has used totem poles, aliens basketball tops with uneven hems, over sized tops and chains to create unique silhouettes and structures.

A lot of his designers are very sportswear like hes adapted to this by creating his quirky prints and changes some structures to make it more him and more fashionable. He always uses the classic high top style on all his models. He also designed them all himself that he uses for his collection.
